Job Desctiption:
Forney Enterprises is seeking a highly skilled and certified Senior Quality Assurance Manager to support the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System at site, ensuring through actions and observations that Food Safety System is compliant to SQF v10 and product quality risks are identified and mitigated. The role interacts continuously with production from operational level through to supervisory and management with the goal of keeping Quality embedded into culture.
Please note this role requires the successful candidate to relocate to Espiritu Santo.

Key Responsibilities
QMS Development:
Support the QA Director in the development and implementation of Quality Systems compliance with the requirements of SQF v10.
Quality and Compliance:
Work with Production to maintain product quality, hygiene and traceability. Identify potential shortcomings and report to manager for Risk Assessment and CAPA.
Undertake internal audits of QMS elements to ensure ongoing compliance to SQF requirements.
Support external audits and inspections with accurate records and corrective actions.
Review and analyse quality data to identify and report trends.
Generate and refine QMS documentation and support compliance to the document control system
Investigate root cause of customer complains and other product quality deviations. Propose appropriate, effective solutions and verify their implementation
Deliver Food Safety and GMP training to employees across the business and continuously reinforce standards
Support process development as required through generation of experimental protocols and interpretation of experimental data to support business decisions
Production Oversight:
Overview incoming daily kava quality, providing guidance to kava sorting team leads.
Ensure hygiene and GMP standards are maintained throughout the plan
Monitor daily product compliance to Food Safety standards. Report non-conformances and track resolution
Team Leadership & Safety
Supervise, train and mentor team leads and production supervisory staff in GMP and maintenance of GMP standards
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology or related field
GFSI (HACCP, SQF, BRC) qualification with SQF strongly desirable
Lead Food Safety Auditor qualification. Examplar Global or equivalent desirable.
Technical Experience
Minimum 10 years' experience in food qualify assurance in a GFSI accredited business, with at least 5 years in a quality supervisory role.
Experience in powder handling and/or vegetable processing
Experience in an export focused business, particularly export to the USA is highly desirable.
