Reporting Line:
This position reports to the Supervisor Maintenance- Port Vila

Position Purpose:
The Grounds Man Officer- Port Vila is responsible for maintaining beautification and landscaping on both landside and airside. This is to ensure visually presentable environment for aircraft, passengers, staff and visitors at the Port Vila International Airport.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain airport grounds, including grass cutting, trimming edges, and general landscaping of airside and landside areas
- Ensure vegetation is controlled around runways, taxiways, aprons, perimeter fences, and terminal areas
- Operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment such as brush cutter, ride-on-mowers and hand tools
- Conduct regular inspections of airside areas to identify and remove Foreign Object Debris (FOD)
- Maintain drainage clearance to prevent water pools on drive way
- Perform minor repairs to fences
- Clear debris and rubbish waste from outdoor trash bin
- Report hazards, equipment faults or unsafe conditions promptly to the Supervisor
- Support emergency response activities when required
- Assist with general airport maintenance duties as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor

 

Selection Criteria:

Essential:
- Year 10 Leaving Certificate
- 2 to 3 years of experience in ground maintenance, landscaping or vegetation control
- Ability to operate ground maintenance equipment such as brush cutters, lawn and ride-on- mowers and other hand tools
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to work independently or as a team to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Willingness to work late or weekends when required
- Have a good command of English or French
- Good interpersonal skills (verbal and written)

Desirable:
- Previous experience working in a similar environment
- Certification or training in landscaping or grounds maintenance
- Ability to perform minor repairs such as fence maintenance or small carpentry tasks
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor maintenance of tools and equipment

The Operations Administration Officer- Port Vila is responsible for administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient and effective functioning of all three aerodrome operations. This role assists in coordinating operational logistic and documentation, handling procurement, communication, reporting and involve in operation compliance activities to support safe, secure and continuous airport operations. This job involves challenging tasks and a significant amount of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day to day administrative support to the Operations Department for all three airports
- Prepare, update and maintain operational reports, logs and records (daily incident reports, inspection reports and others)
- Maintain filling systems (both soft and hard copy)
- Support compliance documentation requirement for airport operational standards
- Strong coordination of internal and external correspondence with airport service providers
- Monitor staff attendance, leave applications and timesheets for the Operations team- Port Vila
- Assist in procurement process including raising purchase requests, follow up orders, and maintaining stock inventory records
- Support emergency response documentation and maintain update contact lists
- Priorities tasking effectively

- 5 to7 years of experience in administrative role

- 24/7 Operational Readiness and Emergency Management-Ensure continuous operational readiness across all three (3) airports, including emergency preparedness, crisis response coordination, and business continuity planning to manage incidents, disruptions, and contingencies effectively according to the Airport Emergency Plan. (AEP)
- Stakeholder and Airline Relationship- Maintain a relationship with airlines, government agencies, regulators, service providers, and other stakeholders to enhance collaboration, operational performance and customer satisfaction.
- People Leadership and Workforce Management- Lead, develop and manage operational departments consisting of Aviation Rescue & Fire Fighting Services (ARFFS), Maintenance, Customer Services, Housekeeping, Grounds man, Car Park Attendants to achieve high performance, accountability, and professionalism, including workforce planning, training and compliance with safety and operational procedures.
- Asset and Infrastructure Management- Ensure airport operational assets, airside and landside facilities and critical infrastructure are maintained to require standards to support safe and reliable operations.
- Financial and Resources Management- Manage operational budgets, resources and procurement to achieve cost efficiency while maintaining service quality and compliance requirements.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation- Drive operational improvements, performance monitoring, and innovation initiatives to enhance service delivery, safety outcomes and operational resilience

- Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Airport Operations, Engineering (Civil or Infrastructure), Transport Management, Project Management, or a closely related discipline
- Certified Airport Management Professional Accreditation Program (AMPAP)
- Experience at a senior management level in airport operations, aviation, infrastructure, or comparable safety-critical operational environment, which may be considered equivalent to formal postgraduate qualification
- Demonstrate working knowledge of ICAO SARPs (Annex 14) and Civil Aviation Rules, including CAR Part 139, applicable to aerodrome operations

The Casino Operations Manager supports the Casino General Manager in the daily management and operational control of the Casino at The Grand Hotel & Casino. The role ensures gaming integrity, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and high customer service standards are maintained at all times.
