Morton Plumbing and Construction (MPC) is a professional plumbing, construction, electrical, and roofing services company based in Port-Vila, Vanuatu. Founded in April 2023, the company delivers trusted construction and infrastructure solutions across Vanuatu, built to Australian standards.

 

Job Desctiption:

Role summary
Responsible for data entry, invoicing, wage preparation, and cost consolidation, plus general office administration and bookings to support construction projects in Vanuatu.

Key responsibilities
• Encode financial data (project costs, invoices, expenses) into company systems/spreadsheets.
• Prepare and track customer invoices for construction and plumbing projects.
• Consolidate costs from sites (materials, labour, subcontractors) per project.
• Compile timesheets and assist in payroll/wage calculations/VNPF in line with Vanuatu labour rules.
• Maintain organized records of receipts, vouchers, purchase orders, and contracts.
• Handle administrative tasks, document filing, and basic HR support.
• Arrange bookings for staff travel, accommodation, and meetings (including deployment logistics for Filipino workers).
• Works will be based on the program Xero and backed with excel data collection

 

Selection Criteria:

Qualifications
• Graduate of Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 4-5 years finance/admin or payroll/accounting support experience, preferably in construction or project based work.
• Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with accounting or payroll systems.

Skills and attributes
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good understanding of invoicing, expenses, and basic payroll.
• Good English communication; willing to work with multicultural teams in Vanuatu.
• High integrity and confidentiality in handling financial and personnel data.

Work conditions
• Full time position in Vanuatu, office based with regular coordination with construction sites.
• Able to drive (manual and auto) is a preferred but not necessary
