Organisation Description: 

We are seeking skilled and reliable electricians/Solar Technicians to join our  team at Energy4All. The successful candidates will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and trouble shooting of solar power systems, including grid-tied, hybrid and off-grid configurations.

 

Job Desctiption:

·        Conduct site assessments and system measurements;

·        Install solar panels, inverters, batteries and associated electrical equipment;

·        Perform wiring, cable management and termination to industry standards;

·        Configure and commission systems including inverters, charge controllers and monitoring platforms

(e.g. Victron, VRM, Fronius, SMA etc. );

·        Diagnose and repair system faults and under-performance issues;

·        Ensure compliance with relevant electrical and safety standards; and

·        Maintain detailed service records and documentation.

 

Selection Criteria:

·        Proven experience in solar PV installations (off-grid, hybrid, grid-tied etc);

·        Competence with DC/AC wiring, conduit work and inverter set up;

·        Familiarity with Victron, Fronius or similar systems is highly desirable;

·        Ability to work safely at heights, in the heat, and in indoor environments;

·        Strong attention to detail and fault-finding ability;

·        Relevant electrical qualifications and trade background preferred; and

·        Must be prepared to travel to remote islands for installation and site management visits, living in

local accommodation. Travel can include local airlines or ferries;

Qualifications:

·        Minimum 3 years experience with Victron equipment. (Certification preferable);

·        Sound electrical knowledge (AC certification preferred);

·        Experience with Victron 3 phase systems;

·        Marine experience on both small and large boats, desirable;

·        Experience in training apprentice staff
