Organisation Description:
The Department of Finance & Treasury (DOFT) is a Department within the Ministry of Finance & Economic Management (MFEM) that provides strategic economic and fiscal advice, ensures transparent and effective public financial management and is accountable to secure government revenue.
Job Desctiption:
To support the Government's' role as owner of Government Business Enterprise (GBEs), including evaluation of individual GBE's performance in achieving a reasonable return on the Government's investment therein.
Selection Criteria:
Qualification: Bachelor's degree, preferably at honors level.
Special Business Education: Economic, commerce or accounting.
Experience: An aptitude for financial analysis and review, ability to understand corporate policy and management.
Special skills: Must have good analytical skills, very strong negotiating skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, planning and management skills, be familiar with MS Office programs, demonstrate leadership skills at high level, teamwork & loyalty to the people of Vanuatu and Government.
Thinking style: Analytical, practical and creative.
Communication/ Interpersonal skills: Strong written and oral communication skills.
Behavioral competencies: Honest, reliable and of good character.
Language: English or French and Bislama.
Salary:
PSS 4.1 (VT 1,400,000)
