Job Desctiption:

• Assist the Operations Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing shipping operations to meet company goals and client expectations.
• Monitor and analyze shipping processes and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
• Collaborate with various departments, including sales, customer service, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations and communication.
• Supervise and train operational staff, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Manage schedules, logistics, and transportation for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and operational data using relevant software and systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure the safety and security of cargo and shipping facilities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and minimize costs.
• Address and resolve any operational issues or customer inquiries in a timely manner.
• Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to support company objectives.

 

Selection Criteria:

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or related field.
- Strong understanding of port operations, maritime logistics, and supply chain management.
- Familiarity with port safety standards, environmental regulations, and security protocols.
- Ability to develop and implement logistics strategies and operational plans.
- Data analysis and problem-solving skills for optimizing port and logistics efficiency.
- Budgeting, financial planning, and cost control expertise.
- Project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to coordinate with government agencies, shipping companies, and other stakeholders.
- Decision-making skills under pressure.
