The Department of Finance & Treasury (DOFT) is a Department within the Ministry of Finance & Economic Management (MFEM) that provides strategic economic and fiscal advice, ensures transparent and effective public financial management and is accountable to secure government revenue.
Job Desctiption:
The Economists will work with other Economists and assist the Principal Economist to undertake research and provide reports on key economic indicators for assisting policy makers.
Selection Criteria:
Qualification: Degree, preferably with good honors.
Special Business Education: Economics
Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years professional experienced working in related economic fields.
Special skills: Strong quantitative and analytical skills, strong spreadsheet (e.g. excel) skills.
Thinking style: Analytical and practical.
Communication/Interpersonal skills: Strong written and oral communication skills.
Behavioral competencies: Honest, reliable and of good character.
Language: English or French and of good character.
Salary:
PST 4.1 (VT 3,167,000) per annum
