Organisation Description:
The Vanuatu National Provident Fund (VNPF) was established under the Vanuatu National Provident Fund Act [CAP 189] to provide security for workers during their working life and into retirement.
We are inviting professional qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the position of Security Officer.
Job Desctiption:
The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of office premises, personnel, visitors, and property. This role requires attention, professionalism, and adherence to company security protocols at all times.
Selection Criteria:
Qualifications/Experience
• Completed Secondary Education or higher.
• Certificate in security operations.
Key attributes and requirements
• Communicate instructions, warnings, and information effectively to members, staff, visitors, and emergency responders.
• Understand and respond appropriately to questions or issues raised by members, employers, employees, visitors, or supervisors
• Accurately observe, interpret, and communicate unusual behaviour or incidents.
• Write clear, concise, and factual reports.
Key outcomes
• Ensure a safe and secure environment by controlling access and monitoring entry/exit points.
• Reduce incidents of theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
• Quick and appropriate response to alarms and emergencies minimizes damage and risk to personnel and properties.
• Smooth coordination with emergency services enhances response times and outcomes during critical incidents.
• Consistent enforcement of company rules improves workplace discipline and standardizes behaviour.
• Unauthorized use of company resources is minimized, preserving assets and productivity.
• Office property is safeguarded through routine checks and secured closures, reducing loss or damage.
• Increased employee awareness of security contributes to overall asset protection.
• Members, Employers, visitors are welcomed and guided professionally, reflecting positively on the organization's image.
• Clear visitor tracking ensures accountability and supports security protocols.
