Job Desctiption:
The Showroom Manager at Discount Hardware will be responsible for leading and managing the daily operations of the showroom to ensure a smooth, efficient, and customer-focused environment. The role requires overseeing sales performance, maintaining product displays, managing stock levels, and ensuring customers receive professional service at all times.
This position is hands-on and customer-facing, requiring strong leadership to guide the showroom team, drive sales growth, and uphold the company's values of integrity, reliability, and service excellence. The Showroom Manager will play a critical role in promoting hardware products, advising customers on solutions, and ensuring the showroom reflects the professional image of Discount Hardware.
Minimum Requirement: At least 3 years of proven experience in the hardware sector.
1. Supervise and lead the showroom sales team, ensuring they deliver outstanding customer service and meet performance standards.
2. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
3. Oversee showroom presentation, product displays, and merchandising to maximize customer appeal.
4. Monitor and manage stock levels, coordinating with the warehouse team to ensure product availability.
5. Provide product knowledge, advice, and solutions to customers to support their hardware needs.
6. Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations in a professional and timely manner.
7. Train, coach, and motivate showroom staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and service delivery.
8. Prepare and present daily/weekly reports on sales, inventory, and team performance to management.
9. Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and operational procedures.
Selection Criteria:
Experience
1. Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in hardware retail, wholesale, or a similar showroom management role.
2. Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a sales team in a fast-paced environment.
3. Experience in inventory control, merchandising, and showroom operations.
4. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
5. Sales-driven mindset with proven ability to achieve and exceed targets.
6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
7. Ability to prepare and present reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
8. Physically fit to assist with showroom operations, stock handling, and display setup.
Languages
Proficiency in English (essential).
Knowledge of Bislama and/or French will be considered an advantage.
