Job Desctiption:

We have an opening with principal responsibility of Santo Office Manager is to professionally manage overall functions of shipping, logistics and freight forwarding in Santo. Also handling customer accounting and managing day to day operation with daily report to head office based in Port Vila. The secondary responsibility is to manage administrative tasks, such as liaising with service providers, sales and marketing our brand, customer service, and managing office records. Additional responsibilities include supporting our overall operations team, and providing full details and reports as requested on daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Expected Outcomes
• Sales and customer visit with timely reporting submitted to head office
• Providing quote and invoices to our customers, able to understand shipping rates
• Banking daily cheque and maintaining accurate debtor files,
• Processing exports from Santo to Vila via local sea and air freight.
• Processing import recovery and handling door to door delivery of shipments, with POD's.
• Maintain proper filling standard, and ensuring approval channels are followed.

 

Selection Criteria:

Essential Selection Criteria
• Shipping knowledge and experience for over 10 years.
• Very good communication skills, preferably Bislama, English, French
• Timeliness and punctuality, ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Team player, energetic with positive attitude towards team.

Desirable Selection Criteria
• Must have an academic qualification in shipping, /logistics or management attributes.
• Understanding about logistics and shipping industry.
• Experience working with international counter partners and suppliers
• Valid driver's license with clean driving records.
• Must be able to provide police clearance and a Medical Report declaring fit

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years experience developing and implementing lesson plans, as well as maintaining program budgets.
• 2+ years experience mentoring educators and staff who are early in their career.
