Job Desctiption:

As a pastry chef, your primary responsibility is to oversee the production and presentation of pastry and dessert items, ensuring exceptional quality, creativity, and consistency in accordance with the hotel’s standards. With expertise in pastry arts, attention to detail, and a passion for culinary excellence, you contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for guests and upholding the hotel’s reputation for luxury and excellence in hospitality.

Pastry production
Prepare and execute a variety of pastry and dessert items, including cakes, pastries, chocolates, confections, and baked goods, following recipes, techniques, and presentation standards established by the hotel.

Manage inventory and procurement of pastry ingredients, including sourcing high-quality and local ingredients, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste, to ensure freshness, availability, and cost-effectiveness in pastry production.

Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in pastry production, including taste, texture, appearance, and portion size, conducting regular tastings and evaluations to ensure adherence to standards.

Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards in pastry production areas, including proper handling of ingredients, cleanliness of equipment and work surfaces, and compliance with food safety regulations.

Ensure that stock is rotated and controlled within the specific section of the kitchen.

Has fun cooking and loves his job! Is a sociable chef who likes to work in a small team with different personalities and respects and actively works with his colleagues in reception, office, restaurant, and housekeeping to satisfy the guests to the outmost possible way.

Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

Selection Criteria:

Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 to 2  year experience in a similar position in a 4* or 5* hotel or restaurant
• Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written). Fluency in a foreign language is an added advantage.
• Passion for cooking and for continuously learning new ideas.
• Mentally organised and comfortable to work in a high pressure environment.
• Experienced in using cost control and costing procedures (or programs).
• Proven track of ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Highly motivated and passionate about the job and his/her career in the resort.

• Conduct daily cash reconciliations from staff cash acquittals.
• Conduct bank deposit preparations.
• Provide weekly bank reconciliations of account.
• Organize weekly banking.

• Prepare any other business licenses, lease or contracts as necessary (with respect of VAT and VNPF policies)

Selection Criteria:

Experience & Qualification required:
• Qualifications in accounting, financial administration, business administration or related
• Experience in managing payroll and program financial administration
• Strong computer skills especially in MS Excel & MYOB.
• Working experience with MYOB including the use of Jobs.
• Experience with Budget management and Profit & Loss.
• Strong experience in accounting data entry including invoice entry, bank entries, sales entries.
• Experience with payroll and VNPF.
• Accuracy with numbers.
• Ability to provide reliable reconciliation.
• Strong organization and record keeping skills.
• Able to work well in a team as well as independently as we are a small team.
• Ability to be flexible and take on new responsibilities or tasks (can do attitude).

• 3+ years demonstrated and proven experience in accounting related roles preferably for another development organization
• 3+ years demonstrated experience in accounting software programs
• Fluent in English (Vanuatu citizen only).
• Certificate in business and/or accounting

As Front Office Manager you'll deliver this through managing all aspects of the front office (for example guest registration, porter services, business centre, telephone services, concierge service, and guest reservation ). You'll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location.

 

Selection Criteria:

.Bachelor's degree/higher education qualification/equivalent in Hotel Management/Business Administration, plus 3 years of front office/Guest Service experience including management experience.
.Must speak fluent English
.Other language preferred

IPDS Ltd operates Lapetasi International Container Terminal (LICT) under a PPP with the Government of Vanuatu to provide all stevedoring and container terminal activities and transport on the island of Efate.

 

Job Desctiption:

DIRECTS, MAINTAINS AND ENFORCES THE SAFETY PROGRAM, ASSIST TO REVIEW SAFETY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES TO UPHOLD STANDARADS OF MAXIMUM SAFETY FOR ALL MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL.
- COORDINATES OR INSTALLS, INSPECTSREPAIRS AND MAINTAIN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING EQUIPMENT
- SUPERVISES AND ASSIGNS WORK TO MECHANICAL TECHNICIANS
- INSPECTS WORK FOR COMPLETENESS
- RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF PLANNED MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES, CONTROL OF LABOUR AND THE PROCUREMENT OF MATERIALS FOR UNSCHEDULED AND EMERGENY WORK
- PERFORM ANY OTHER DUTIES THAT MAY BE ASSIGNED FROM TIME TO TIME BY HIS/HER MANAGER
- MAINTAIN EFFECTIVE HEALTH & SAFETY SYSTEMS, INCLUDING COMPLETION OF RISK ASSESSMENTS AND SOP'S
- ENSURE HOUSEKEEPING, PRODUCTIVITY AND QUALITY IF WORK STANDARDS ARE MAINTAINED, MOST ESPECIALLY WITHIN THE MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT.
- TO ENSURE THE MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (MEX) IS OPERATED AND MAINTAINED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PURCHASING OFFICER.

 

Selection Criteria:

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: - DEGREE OR HND IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING OR EQUIVALENT TRADE QUALIFICATION FROM A RECOGNIZED INSTITUTION
:- VALID MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
:- 5 YEARS MECHANICAL ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE PREFERABLY IN THE HEAVY TRANSPORT INDUSTRY
:- VANUATU RESIDENCY / CITIZENSHIP
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:- EXPERIENCE IN AUTO ELECTRICS (DISTINCT ADVANTAGE)
:- STRONG COMPUTER SKILLS SUCH AS MICROSOFT WORD/EXCEL, DATABASE AND COMPUTERISED MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT (DISTINCT ADVANCTAGE)
:- VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
