Entani Company Limited as it is known today started as the Negau Entani Company Limited responsible in managing the operations of the top-drawer tourism attraction in Vanuatu and the most accessible volcano in the world, Mount Yasur. Management operations started 1980 and later evolved to its new name in 2012.  Entani is an entirely ni-Vanuatu owned and operated business.

Job Desctiption:

The Community Project Officer (CPO) will contribute to the development and accomplishment of the Community Development Program's goals while serving as a member of the Entani Tanna team. S/he is tasked with the responsibility of facilitating development plans and overseeing and reporting on the program activities to ensure their effective implementation. The CPO is primarily responsible for ensuring that all community project activities are carried out in accordance with Entani's policies and codes of conduct and that they effectively achieve the desired outcomes and indicators. S/he is responsible for ensuring that all project reports are compiled, reviewed, and processed prior to the due dates.

The CPO will be performing the following roles and responsibilities:
1. Collect up to date information regarding the community's needs, problems, sources, and resources.
2. Mobilize community resources in order to address community problems and requirements more effectively.
3. Formulate and execute initiatives necessary to efficiently address the perceived requirements and challenges of community members.
4. Arouse interest among people in the welfare of community as a whole.
5. Motivate people to participate in the planning as well as implementation of programmes meant for general uplift of the community.
6. Establish an organization comprised of community members who represent various socio-cultural groups; foster democratic leadership among the populace by involving them in community programs; and delegate and assign responsibilities.
7. Facilitate collaboration among diverse entities, including organizations, groups, and individuals, that are affiliated with community-benefiting initiatives.
8. Foster public consciousness regarding a multitude of challenges and concerns that beset the community.
9. Enact essential reforms aimed at eliminating a broad range of pervasive social ills that are preventable and deeply ingrained in the community's social fabric.
Condition of Employment:
 Open to Vanuatu citizen only
 Fluent in English and Bislama
 Based in Tanna

Selection Criteria:

Essential Selection Criteria:
 Secondary school education and/or relevant qualification or equivalent work experience
 Extensive experience applying time management, organizational, and planning abilities
 Sufficient self-motivation and experience in following instructions to accomplish tasks autonomously, without requiring constant oversight
 Proactive, diligent, courteous, affable, and capable of taking the initiative in accordance with the community's environment
 Proficient in engaging in confident interactions with a diverse array of people
 Strong computer literacy (proficient in Word and Excel, as well as email, the Internet, Skype, and Microsoft Teams)
 Devoted to working on weekends in accordance with the availability of communities to facilitate local activities.
Desirable Selection Criteria:
 Knowledge of principles pertaining to facilitation or training
 Familiarity with the local communities and culture of Tanna, as well as the ability to adapt to a variety of cultures
 Working knowledge of community organizing
