The Vanuatu National Provident Fund (VNPF) is a body established by the the Vanuatu National Provident Fund Act CAP 189 to provide for member contributions to and the payment of members benefits out of the Fund.

The Fund is now seeking to recruit for its Head Office in Port Vila, a senior professional with suitable qualifications and experiences for the position of General Manager, Funds Management. This is a senior executive position reporting directly to the CEO of the Fund.

This is a demanding and technical position and the incumbent will have the responsibility to assist the CEO in developing strategies to advance the institution's vision, mission and objectives to promote all corporate services, head the business operations of the Fund, including but not limited to developing emerging business and investment opportunities through well researched and

developed qualitative and quantitative analytical processes to improve business opportunities and potential avenues for increasing financial returns for the Fund.

- Development of the investment, finance and contribution divisions of the Fund; Provide regular analytical reports to executive management; Strategize, review and approve divisional work plans, programmes and budgets in consultation with the team leaders within the division; Oversee planning and conduct of research, training and development; Undertake financial and investment

analysis and make recommendations on emerging investment market opportunities; Develop and maintain effective business networks, partnerships and contacts with financial professionals, fund managers, investors and entrepreneurs; Provide support towards an effective and efficient team investment analysts;

Job Description:

The Vanuatu Meteorological and Geo-hazard Department (VMGD) and National Diaster Management Office (NDMO) have secured funding from the World Bank for two large-scale national adaptation and disaster risk reduction projects designed to address Vanuatu's immediate climate change adaptation needs and mitigate natural disaster risks.

The main task of the Gis Specialist is to support strengthening capacity of the IRCCNH project components and their respective implementing Agencies (IA) to produce maps supporting projects activities and project developments. The consulatnt will be responsible for providing advice on the framework for collecting, managing and disseminating existing spatial data, also for structuring

and training on geo-referencing of the data; developing the GIS database and standard operation procedures. The consultant will also be responsible for providing short training on geo-referencing of the data; developing the GIS database and standard operation procedures. The consultant will also be responsible for providing short training to designated (to be identified) staff to enable

them to use, maintain and update the database.



The GIS Specialist will be contracted for 40 days, and be based in the VMGD Project Management Unit.

Job Description:
