Job Description: The Marketing Manager is responsible for the production implementation and management of the Vanuatu Jungle Zipline marketing plan. This position is open to all and Ni-Vanuatu nationals are encouraged to apply. It is based in downtown Port Vila.   This position will be offered on a contract basis with a salary package reflecting the qualifications, skills and experiences of the successful applicant.  Duties and responsibilities: The following are the duties and responsibilities of the officer to this post: The Marketing Manager reports to the General Manager and liaises with the Accounts Manager and Operations Manager Update the current marketing plan Implementation of the marketing plan, including; Local advertising - updating print ads Brochure and media advertising keep up to date Tour sales staff familiarisation and training Managing online sales and bookings and increase the volume Videos - splicing together short clips to make 1 minute promotional videos for tv Social media posts to FB, instagram and other modes Cruise Ship markets - creating new promotional ideas International sales markets - forging new relationships Sales to independent travelers   Updating all tv advertisements in hotels Marketing and liaison with school and business group bookings Represent VJZ at VTOA meetings and VTO Represent VJZ at Tok Tok Implementing a new payment and booking system like VEND or REZDY Co-coordinating marketing and promotional activities with the Vanuatu tourism industry including advertising, travel shows, trade fairs, seminars/workshops and other relevant marketing activities. Liaise with advertising agencies in regards to promoting and managing the brand and tagline Preparation and distribution of appropriate sales promotional materials Reporting the marketing expenditure Prepare and provide monthly reports to the General Manager and the Board of Directors on the implementation of market activities and performance for each market Meeting key performance indicators such as; Sales calls Monthly forecasts Famil tours for sales staff Any Other duties as directed by the General Manager. Criteria: Applicants should possess experience and or formal training in the field related to marketing, or be able to demonstrate a competency to write and implement a marketing program  Possess a high level of customer service, team player and be a self-starter Must be competent, written and spoken, in the English language. Computing skills such as spreadsheets, word processing, video editing, social media use are VERY HIGHLY regarded Knowledge of tourism industry in Vanuatu comprising of key partners and stakeholders are   important.
