Wan Smolbag Nutrition Centre is offering an opportunity for a new staff member to join our busy team. We are looking for an individual who is computer literate in excel and word for the purpose of recording sales and menu planning. 

As with all staff we would expect the successful candidate to help out with all aspects of the Nutrition Centre as all staff participate and chopping vegetables & clean up during busy periods.

Criteria:
  • Must have good customer service skills with an ability to work in a youth friendly environment
  • Understanding of English both oral and written
  • Some food product knowledge is desirable 
  • An interest in cooking and healthy food – would lead to further opportunities
  • An interest in learning new skills - including presenting to groups
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word as some typing will be involved, prior experience of data entry is not essential as a probationary period will be granted to allow for training

Job Description:
Peace Corps Vanuatu wishes to recruit up to four Ni-Vanuatu persons for the short-term position of Language, Culture and Technical Trainers (LCTTs). The LCTTs will provide Bislama language training to the new Peace Corps Volunteers while facilitating their understanding of Vanuatu's culture. The LCTTs will also assist with the facilitation of basic technical skill competencies, specific to the Volunteer assignment. Therefore, experience in the education and health sector will be advantageous. The contract will commence on Monday, 3rd April 2017 and will finish on Friday, July 1 2017.

Selected candidates will be required to live in a village with a host family for most of the contact period. Peace Corps is looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
      Criteria:
      • Successful completion of Year 12, Year 13 is preferable
      • Some knowledge of Educational system and Vanuatu's Health system
      • Experience as a trainer, preferable in language and culture
      • Basic computer literacy (MS Word and Excel)
      • High level fluency in English and Bislama
      • A willingness and enthusiasm to share an appreciation of the Vanuatu Culture/language and rural island life with people new to Vanuatu and the Pacific
      • A positive attitude and an enthusiastic outlook on life
      • An ability to understand and follow Peace Corps Policies and Procedures.
      LCTTs who have signed a contract in 2016, do not need to apply but must contact Director of Management & Operations and express their interest in writing, to be considered for a LCTT position in 2017 Pre-Service Training program.

      Job Description:
      Peace Corps Vanuatu wishes to recruit a highly qualified Ni-Vanuatu professional as the Administrative Assistant/Travel Specialist (AA/TS). The Administrative Assistant/Travel Specialist is a new position in the Peace Corps Vanuatu Post that reports directly to the Director of Management and Operations. The Administrative Assistant/Travel Specialist serves as primary point of contact for all Peace Corps official travels. The AA/TS position coordinates staff and volunteer in-country and international travels and hotel bookings, maintains administrative filing systems, completes data entry, files transactions documents, and enters payment into PC payment systems. 
          Criteria:
          Requirements:
          • A year 12 certificate is required. A tertiary qualification in accounting, business, finance or related fields is preferred
          • Combination of a completed secondary school, secretarial certificate, computing or accounting technician
          • Three to five years of related experience in accounting, bookkeeping or similar duties is essential
          • Computer literacy with good proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Access
          • Excellent English communication skills both oral and written. Knowledge of French is helpful
          • Able to pass a U.S. Embassy background security investigation
          • Possession of valid driver's license; and ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
          Qualifications:
          • Ability to meet deadlines; pays attention to details; and demonstrate a high level of integrity

          The Vanuatu Cricket Association (VCA) is the national governing body for the game of cricket in Vanuatu and one of the country’s leading sporting organization. The association is now welcoming applications for the position of Sanma Cricket Development Officer based in Luganvlle, Santo.

          The Sanma Cricket Development Officer is responsible for the operation of all cricket activities in Samma Province.

          Duties & Responsibilities
          • Reports to the Administration Officer

              • Be able to roster Assistant Development Officer to carry out tasks
              • Be able to communicate rosters and schedules to everyone involved
              • Have knowledge and understanding of basic computer skills
