The Skills for Economic Growth Program (TVET) aims to better link skills development services to economic outcomes for participants within a nationallyrecognized system. In partnership with the Ministry of Education and Training, TVET Centres have been established in SANMA, MALAMPA, TORBA and TAFEA provinces. These Centres regularly engage Training Providers and Industry Coaches to deliver skill development services in response to priority areas of economic demand and small business growth.

The Program is now seeking Expressions of Interest from specialists in priority fields to join its Coaches and Trainers database for the delivery of short-term inputs.

Coaches and Trainers are required in the following high-demand fields:
  • Agriculture and Agri-tourism
  • Bungalow building and maintenance
  • Handicraft production
  • Accommodation and tours development

        The Vanuatu Investment Promotion Authority has a vacancy for Finance Officer, Corporate Division. 

        Responsibilities
        The suitable person will carry out the role of managing and controlling the funds and revenues of the Authority.

        • The applicant should hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Studies or other relevant tertiary qualifications in a recognized institution acceptable to the Authority
        • A minimum of 3-5 years experience in financial management, auditing, budgeting, MYOB accounting is mandatory 
        • The suitable person must have a fair knowledge and understanding of Vanuatu’s investment climate and the regional business environment

        Job Description:
        The Vanuatu Education Support Program (VESP) is supporting the Government of Vanuatu’s goals of improving education quality, providing more equitable access to education and ensuring a well-managed education system. The program is currently focused on improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for children in the early years of primary education. VESP is supported by donor partners under a Joint Partnership Arrangement between the Governments of Vanuatu, Australia and New Zealand.
        An opportunity is now available for the role of Inclusion Strategy Coordinator to join the VESP team. 

        This position will coordinate, monitor and report on the implementation of the existing VESP Gender, Disability and Social Inclusion Strategy and will work collaboratively with the team to ensure that gender equality and social inclusion are integrated into all program activities. This role will also undertake research as required to support the MoET Gender Policy and Inclusive Education policy; facilitate training workshops and forge partnerships with other development and local partners.

        Criteria:
        • The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and demonstrated experience in implementing gender and social inclusion related policies and programs; including developing information materials, coordinating activities and preparing written reports for clients and stakeholders. An understanding of the Vanuatu public sector environment and education system is required for success. Previous experience conducting workshops is desirable.
