                          The Ministry of Climate Change is looking for a In-Country Coordinator (ICC), EU-GIZ ACSE Programme -Vanuatu
                          The European Union (EU) is assisting Pacific ACP countries through a new regional Programme: Adapting to Climate Change and Sustainable Energy (ACSE) funded by the 10th European Development Fund (EDF 10). The objectives of the ACSE programme are to enhance sustainable livelihoods in PACPs, to strengthen PACPs capacities to adapt to the adverse effects of climate change and to enhance PACPs energy security at the national, provincial and local/community levels. The EU-GIZ Adapting to Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Component (18.64 million Euros) is administered by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in close collaboration with the regional SPC-GIZ programme “Coping with Climate Change in the Pacific Island Region” (CCCPIR).

                          ICC Responsibilities:
                          • The position supports the Government of Vanuatu, GIZ Programme Coordinator and GIZ Technical Advisers (based in Suva, Fiji) with the execution of the two ACSE Vanuatu projects (1) Freshwater Aquaculture Trials & 2) Solar, Biogas and Climate Early Warning System ‘Dashboard’, Vanuatu)
                          • The position provides effective and efficient support to the Government and to GIZ in execution of all administrative functions including accounting, inventory management, filing and record keeping and progress reporting including coordinating project monitoring and evaluation activities.
