Job Desctiption:
1. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control purchasing of products and services, and promote compliance internally with established standards in line with Hotel Purchasing policy.
- Source food products according to the market list provided by the kitchen in a timely manner.
- Source beverage products according to the purchase orders provided in a timely manner.
- Source all other supplies as requested by other departments of the hotel.
- Ensure that products are delivered (or picked up) and delivered to the receiving bay of the Hotel in a timely and suitable manner.
- Identifies and develops reliable sources of supply.
- Identifies sources of supply that provide competitive pricing, assured supply and products that comply with hotel purchasing standards.
- Obtains competitive quotations and bids.
- Assist with stock takes when required.
- Makes recommendation on appointment of supplies.
Selection Criteria:
- Preferably owns a vehicle.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the company.
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
- 2 years and over of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
