Organisation Description:
The Vanuatu National Provident Fund (VNPF) has established a subsidiary company called The National Finance & Credit Services Ltd (MFCSL). The new entity will manage and administer financial assistance programs and loan services for VNPF members, employers and the general public. This includes overseeing the distribution of loans to eligible customers and offering accessible and affordable loan options to meet a variety of financial needs.
Job Desctiption:
This role is responsible for overseeing the processes associated with the repayment of loans and recovery of outstanding debts. This role ensures the implementation of effective debt recovery strategies while aligning with the NFCSL's mission of financial inclusion and sustainable development. The position will collaborate with legal, credit risk, and portfolio management teams to minimize credit losses and maximize recoveries
Selection Criteria:
Qualifications/Experience
• A Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• At least 10 years of senior management experience, preferably in financial services, banking, investment, or a related regulated industry.
• Proven track record in strategic leadership, business development, and financial management within a corporate or financial institution.
• Demonstrated experience in corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Key attributes and requirements
Administrative Support
• Lead the Repayment and Recovery team in designing and implementing financial restructuring and recovery solutions
• Develop and implement exit plans for re-possessed assets and written-off cases, ensuring minimal exposure.
• Prepare and present regular NPL management reports to the Management Credit Committee and Board Investment Committee.
• Set performance targets and milestones for recovery and repayment staff and conduct performance assessments.
• Continuously review, develop, and improve policies, procedures, and guidelines to enhance operational efficiency

• Improved recovery rates and reduced default or delinquency levels.
