VFHA is a Not-for-Profit Organisation established in 1990 to reinforce a health system that delivers advanced and quality Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) in ways that respect, protect, and fulfilled human rights. VFHA is acknowledged by the Ministry of Health and other Government Ministries, and Development Agencies as a close partner in delivering SRH services for women and men of reproductive age. VFHA is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults and expects all employees, volunteers, contractors, and partners to share this commitment.

 

Job Desctiption:

To plan, implement, manage and monitor the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SHR) project so that it is best able to achieve its long-term outcome: A reduction in unplanned pregnancies and sexually transmissible infections among Ni-Vanuatu men, women and youth in identified hard to reach communities in Torba, Sanma and Penama.

 

Selection Criteria:

Essential:
The Project Officer will:
• Live in Santo.
• Have the skills and experience to plan, implement, coordinate, manage and deliver a quality
• SHR programme.
• Have strong English written skills and excellent verbal communication skills.
• Have excellent problem-solving and relationship management skills, experience working as a member of a team, and experience managing programmatic, financial, administrative and logistical needs.
• Be self motivated and work without direct supervision.
• Have a good understanding of the health and development sector ni Vanuatu including networks
• with key stakeholders.
• Be computer literate in Microsoft word and Microsoft excel.
• Be familiar/comfortable with a human rights based approach to development
• Meeting the reporting and accountability requirements of the donor partners

Desirable:
• A background in development work and project management.
• Experience and knowledge of sexual and reproductive health and rights.
• Experience working with Ni-Vanuatu rural communities.
