Job Description
|
MALFFB is seeking a local
consultant to review and update the Overarching Productive Sector Policy
(OPSP) 2012-2017 for the period 2019-2024. OPSP 2019-2024 will provide
strategic directions to Government bodies over the development of the
productive sector, and as such is a key policy document.
The consultant will review OPSP 2012-2017, undertake consultations to inform the direction and content of OPSP 2019–2024, and develop and present the updated OPSP. The project will take 75 days and will be completed by 30th November 2018. |
Selection Criteria

The consultant should
have:
• Formal qualifications (minimum level Bachelor’s degree) in agriculture, productive sectors or a relevant field • Fluency in spoken and written English and Bislama. Fluency in French is an advantage. • Ability to identify strategic sector priorities in a developing country context. • Experience of value chain development and planning in developing countries • Technical skills in the areas of: private sector development; value chain analysis; rural economy; monitoring and evaluation and policy design in the agricultural sector • Demonstrated understanding of and experience in project planning and management, and effective delivery of outputs in these areas • Demonstrated ability in, and commitment to, skills transfer and capacity development • Effective analytical and reporting skills |

mature individual with a minimum of 3 years professional experience
preferably in land development, property management or real estate in Vanuatu
and or other Pacific Islands.
Responsibilities include: 1. Researching property rentals and sales to create and maintain the most up to date, comprehensive database. 2. Continuously monitor the database for data integrity and erroneous entries, strive for data completeness and accuracy. Maintain database to meet guidelines set by the Company. 3. Coordinate timely data compilation for maintaining quick turnaround to ensure maximum efficiency to clients. 4. Contribute to quarterly analysis and interpretation of market trends. 5. Use of geographical information systems (GIS) to locate properties, conduct research, and create client reports and presentations. |
