World Vision is currently recruiting for Finance and Corporate Services Manager role; this role will provide overall leadership and management of four departments: Finance, Procurement & Logistics, Information Technology and Office Administration. This role will be reporting to the Country Director, and work base is World Vision Office in - Port Vila.

In line with WV Vanuatu’s For Children, For Change, For Life (4C4C4L) purpose, this position will:
  • Provide overall leadership and management of four departments: Finance, Procurement & Logistics, Information Technology and Office Administration
  • Help implement financial policies for budgets, cash management, grant and donor reporting to ensure compliance with established and appropriate policies relevant to respective projects and WV financial policy
  • Help promote financial stewardship, accountability and reliability of financial transactions
  • Help administer all aspects of office management, risk management and office security
  • Manage procurement and logistics management functions and staff, undertaking continuous improvement and capacity building programs
  • Assist implement IT policies, procedures and best practices and enable the operation of the department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization in cooperation with Senior IT Officer
  • Represent World Vision in high-level meetings with key government stakeholders.
Criteria: 
The ideal candidate should require:
  • A university degree in accounting and a professional designation from a recognized financial/management  institution
  • At least four years working in a managerial position in Finance, Logistics, or Programming. Experience working in a cross-cultural working environment
  • Knowledge of Grants Management on at least two of the following grants (AUSAid, NZ-SDF, MoFA Japan, USAID, EC, WFP)
  • Ability to prepare budgets across a programme, such that multiple projects support an integrated program
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, business reporting, financial planning and forecasting
  • Excellent accounting and financial management skills
  • Strong planning, organisational and project management skills and ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks       
  • Good analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Relational skills, especially in a cross-cultural environment
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership at a strategic policy level and staff supervision.

Salary:

The Annual Salary of this role is ranged between VT2,482,876 -- VT4,469,176

        The Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce & Industry (VCCI), in partnership with the UNDP Pacific Risk Resilience Programme (PRRP) and the Connecting Business Initiative (CBi), is seeking to recruit a Ni Vanuatu citizen for the position of Business Resilience Coordinator.

        The Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce & Industry (VCCI) is the peak body representing the Vanuatu’s businesses to ensure effective private sector representation in advocacy, policy making processes, and relevant business training and business development activities in Vanuatu.

        VCCI is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person for the position of Business Resilience Coordinator for its Employers Trade Promotion Resilience Unit.

        Key responsibilities are summarized as follows:
        • Establish a Vanuatu business disaster and resilience network leading to the Vanuatu Business Resilience Committee (VBRC)
        • Implement a communication strategy and share best practice and support increased functionality and content on VCCI’s website
        • Strengthen private sector engagement in disaster risk management and climate change
        • Create strategic partnerships and identify opportunities for collaboration through the Vanuatu Business Resilience Committee (VBRC), and the Vanuatu Employers Organisation (VEO)
        • Strengthen the capacity of the businesses to engage in disaster risk management and climate change
        • Embed the private sector into disaster risk management and climate change structures; and
        • Ensure the sustainability of the activities initiated through resource mobilization.
        The suitable candidate will represent employers, entrepreneurs, business associations, and local businesses, and develop analysis position proposals, in economic, business, trade and labour related issues, particularly the Vanuatu Employers Organisation (VEO) and National Tripartite Labor Advisory Council (TLAC), in a changing climate environment. The job position includes also coordinating and managing program development, information source system development, as well as trade and promotion activities of VCCI.

        Key requirements:

        • Have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a business environment
        • A degree in Economics, Law, Business Administration, Climate and Disaster Risk Management or similar discipline 
        • A degree in Social Sciences including a research component would be an advantage
        • Experience advocating at the local, national, regional and/or international level and developing position proposals for the private sector development and empowerment
        • Experience at the national and or international level in strategic relationship management, providing management advisory services, resource mobilization and knowledge sharing 
        • Have good leadership, team work, and problem solving skills
        • Fluent in English and Bislama in speaking, writing and comprehension
        • Fluency in French would be an advantage

        • Availability to travel.
