Job Description:
Overall Responsibility 
The  Communications Manager is responsible for activating and managing the public awareness strategy to generate positive awareness across Vanuatu of the Games. The Communications Manager will  put in place strategies to create a positive environment and awareness for volunteers and other community groups to become involved with the Games, and also to implement a ticketing awareness and promotion program.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Ensure consistent application of the brand across all authorized users and all forms of media/mediums using the trademarks
  • Produce a monthly newsletter for wide circulation within/out
  • Engage with existing  community engagements for the Mascot and other activities to promote the Games
  • Establish opportunities for the CEO and other designated senior management/board to address business forums and public events to promote the Games
  • Plan and coordinate Van2017 promotional events
  • Ensure the website is constantly updated with current news
  • Develop and issue press releases
  • Establish regular update opportunities with radio and TV programs
  • Manage the Twitter, Instagram and Facebook feeds
  • Monitor press and social media relating to the Games and ensure strategy is developed to address if required
  • Establish a good rapport of open and transparency with media-- meet regularly and provide updates
  • Work with Sponsors to approval their branding as per contract and style guide guidelines
  • Manage the output of onboard and outsourced Graphic Artists.
        Criteria:
        • 7+ years in an active diversified Communications and/or Marketing portfolio
        • Management experience preferred  
        • Must be a self starter 
        • Preferred fluent  (written and Oral) in Bislama, French and English.

                          The Vanuatu Education Support Program (VESP) is supporting the Government of Vanuatu’s goals of improving education quality, providing more equitable access to education and ensuring a well-managed education system. The program is currently focused on improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for children in the early years of primary education. VESP is supported by donor partners under a Joint Partnership Arrangement between the Governments of Vanuatu, Australia and New Zealand.

                          The Training Materials Coordinator will work within the Vanuatu Institute for Teacher Education and will assist in the review of existing materials as well as the design of new materials for teacher training and professional development. Key responsibilities will include:
