The National Bank of Vanuatu is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced person to fill in the position of Senior Manger Credit and Recoveries. This position is located at the Bank's Head office in Port Vila, Vanuatu. This is a full time contract role reporting directly to the head of finance and risk management. Duties and responsibilities:

1) Responsible for both the credit and recovery functions of the bank

2) Assisting the head of finance and risk management in approving credit facilities up to the delegated authority limit, monitoring loan portfolio quality, and for managing other identified functions of the business unit.

Interested applicant must possess the following:

Criteria:

- Strong working knowledge of bank credit risk, risk management concepts including liquidity risk, and operational risk; He/she must have considerable experience in credit analysis and credit

management, impaired debt recovery and related legal proceedings; High competency levels in financial analysis, problem solving skills and decision making

- Solid IT skills, especially in the use of data analysis tools, will be beneficial; A demonstrable track record of past success in a commercial banking senior management role will be essential and

competent training skills; Tertiary qualifications in banking and finance, business, accounting, or a related field

- At least 15 years experience in banking; 10 years experience in credit management and recovery or similar role; A minimum of 5 years experience in senior management; Demonstrated leadership

- Good communication and people management skills; Very proficient with microsoft office products (i.e. excel, word, outlook).
