The School of law is seeking to appoint an editor of hard copy judgments to work in the pacific islands legal information institute (PACLIVJ managing the research, conversion, editing and quality control of regional judgments from hard copy to electronic formats for the purpose of electronic publication by the Institute. Applicants can also submit their applications on-

line or by hard copy at any of the university’s campuses throughout the region and at the human resources office on laucala campus. The position is available for a period of 6 months and may be renewed by mutual agreement. Duties and responsibilities:

1) Report to the director of PACLII and be responsible to the head of the school of law

2) Management and development of the conversion of hard copy documents to electronic forms, editing and controlling the content of regional judgments in hard copy for the purpose of electronic publication by the Institute

3) Legal research concerning judgments required for publication

4) Development and use of electronic document formats and style sheets

5) Liaison with USP School of Law staff

6) Liaising with regional Courts and Governments regarding the collection and processing of judgments

7) Other duties as may be prescribed by the Director of PACLII.
