Job Desctiption:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated gates, garage doors, roller shutters, and related access control systems. This role requires strong electrical expertise combined with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues to ensure reliable and safe operation of automated systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, wire, test, and commission automated gate motors for both swing and sliding gates, garage doors, and roller shutter systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults, wiring problems, control system failures, and mechanical issues.
• Service and replace motors, control boards, limit switches, sensors, remote controls, and other system components.
• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and safety checks to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical manuals.
• Configure and test automation systems, access controls, and safety devices.
• Maintain accurate service records and report completed work to management.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of workmanship.
Selection Criteria:
Requirements
• Licensed Electrician with relevant trade qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with automated gates, garage doors, roller shutters, or similar automation systems is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, motor controls, and fault finding techniques.
• Ability to diagnose and repair both electrical and mechanical issues.
• Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
