Organisation Description:
The Northern Island Stevedoring Company Limited (NISCOL) Port Services is a Limited Company owned by the following shareholders: SANMA Province (30%), MALAMPA Province (20%), PENAMA Province (20%), TORBA Province (10%), Luganville Municipal Council (10%) and the Vanuatu Government (10%).
The company operates all stevedoring and transportation of international cargoes at Luganville in Santo, Republic of Vanuatu.
Job Desctiption:
The General Business Development Manager will be working closely with the Group CEO and will be a part of the Management Leadership Team serving as a company leader in ensuring a cohesive linkage between operation and executive and focusing on the long-term interests of the business.
The General Business Development Manager through the Group CEO has the overall responsibility for managing NISCOL's business development initiatives in driving the expectations of the Shareholders ensuring maximum sustainable profitability and continual growth.

- Strategic Distribution and Logistics Leadership: proven ability to direct all business activities to ensure operational excellence and strategic goal attainment; maintain rigorous reporting standards for all critical business metrics.
- Interpersonal and Cultural Leadership: foster a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement through high-level relationship management, effective change leadership and a focus on high performance.
- Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with shareholder representatives, board of directors, employees, business houses and all other stakeholders.
- Possess a strong foundation in corporate governance with a demonstrated ability to cultivate, implement and maintain a robust culture of ethics and compliance throughout the company.
Experience and Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years senior management experience and exposure in a multi-cultural competitive business environment.
- Proficiency in Business Management and Quality Management Systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety compliance standards and thorough understanding of OSHA regulations.
- Certified trainer with skills, knowledge and experience to carry out ongoing workplace training and competency assessments.
- Experience in corporate governance and a hands-on approach to implementing processes, systems and procedures.
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative, proactive, a strategic thinker and team leader who can positively and productively impact strategic, analytical and tactical management initiatives.
- Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, staff, stakeholders and business clients.
- Passion for NISCOL's vision, mission, values and objectives.
