• Welcome and acknowledge all guests with a warm and friendly attitude; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in.
• Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest.
• Answer, record and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns. Follow up with the respective requests to insure they have been completed.
• Book guest activities and ensure charges are processed
• Follow up on the guest activity experience to ensure that taxis, restaurant recommendations and other events are suggested and booked to ensure the guest has a seamless experience.
• Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit, inclusive of restaurant payment.
• Process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges and ensure luggage.
• Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system.
• Count cash float at the beginning and end of shift. Balance and drop receipts according to accounting procedure.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries to Management.
• Communicate using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by management.


Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position
• Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written). Fluency in another foreign language such as French is an advantage.
• Experienced in using Room Master Property Management System or opera cloud and Front Office procedures/cashiering.
• Proficient with computers
• Proven track of delighting customer or up-selling. Honest and caring.
• Highly motivated and passionate about providing great customer service.

Job Desctiption:

The job of General Maintenance Worker was established for the purpose/s of providing maintenance services as needed and/or assigned; assisting in a wide variety of maintenance activities; addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns; and ensuring that tools, materials and vehicles are maintained in good working order and are available at the resort when needed.

 

Selection Criteria:

Tasks and Responsibilities
• Cleans buildings and grounds areas as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of providing an effective and pleasing environment, preventing damage and/or limiting liability exposure to the resort and management.
• Coordinates with the Maintenance foreman for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Performs a wide variety of general and skilled maintenance activates (e.g. carpentry, painting, electrical, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects within established time frames.
• Repairs furniture and building system components for the purpose of ensuring the longevity of the resort assets.
• Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building.
• Replaces broken windows; repairs doors, door locks and closets.
• Assists with the renovation/remodelling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures.
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
• Escalate or communicate to Maintenance foreman all problems which will affect the resort or the guest's experience due to termites, unsafe structure.
• Arranges furniture and equipment for the purpose of providing adequate preparations for special events on the beach or any areas of the resort.
• Constantly seek out efficiencies to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to Foreman.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and staff appearances are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 year experience in a similar position.
• Trade certificate or equivalent.
