| | Job Description: |
| | The role is responsible for the overall supervision of the WASH Schools’ Project Officer, management and delivery of Water, Sanitation, Health & Hygiene (WASH) community enterprise sanitation marketing project activities and budget, timely reporting and regular monitoring and evaluation of project achievements for the peri-urban areas of Port Vila on Shefa Province and Luganville |
| | in the Sanma Province. |
| | Experience with installation and maintenance of sanitation, health & hygiene infrastructures such as Ventilated Improved (VIP) Pits, Compost Toilets, Pour Flush and Flush Toilet Systems. |
| | Criteria: |
| | 1. Commit to developing an excellent working knowledge of climate change, water, sanitation, and health and hygiene management in Vanuatu. |
| | 2. Ability to coordinate the WASH community sanitation marketing enterprise project and supervise the activities of the WASH Schools’ Project Officer. |
| | 3. Manage the implementation and delivery of WASH projects to target communities in the peri-urban areas of Port Vila in the Shefa Province and Luganville, in the Sanma Province in Vanuatu. |
| | 4. Manage the collection of data for the purposes of monitoring and evaluation and sharing of information of project outcomes and objectives. |
| | 5. Manage & coordinate timely reports and acquittals on field work as required by Live & Learn Vanuatu and its donors. |
| | 6. Manage & coordinate knowledge, aspirations and perceptions (KAP) research into community knowledge, views and perceptions regarding climate change, water, sanitation, and health and hygiene management. |
| | 7. Coordinate and facilitate the development and delivery of all training regarding climate change, water, sanitation, and health and hygiene management to rural communities. This will include coordination of |
| | planning, communication with stakeholders and working with community members. |
| | 8. Build networks and partnership with other agencies in accordance with the organisational objective of Live & Learn Vanuatu, including government and non- governmental organisations and communities. |
| | 9. Identify new funding opportunities and assist in project proposal writing. |
| | 10. Collaborate and assist with other Live & Learn Vanuatu projects as required. |
| | 11. Attend to any other duties delegated by the Country Manager. |
| | 12. Preferably, a tertiary qualification in a relevant field (science or social sciences), at Masters degree level for the Project Coordinator position and an undergraduate degree for the Project Officer position. |
| | 13. At least five years’ work experience in NGO and/or water, sanitation, health & hygiene management/climate change-related work |
