The Vanuatu Tourism Office requires the services of a Marketing Manager to undertake key responsibilities within their marketing department. This position is open to all Ni-Vanuatu nationals and is based in Port Vila. This position will be offered on a contract basis with a salary package to reflect the skills and experience of the successful applicant.

Duties and responsibilities:

1) The Marketing Manager is responsible to the General Manager for planning, organizing and executing the Marketing plan

2) Development and implementation of the marketing plan

3) Co-ordinating marketing and promotional activities including advertising, travel shows, trade fairs, seminars/workshops

4) Liaise with advertising agency in regards to developing new slogan/branding

5) aise with south-pacific-travel marketing division and market representatives

6) Preparation and distribution of appropriate sales promotional materials

7) Collaboration with the travel trade and airline to prepare and implement joint promotion and campaign in designated markets

8) Monitoring promotional expenditure in each marketing including trade fair attendance, collating materials, familiarization trips, brochure support

Provide annual and monthly reports to the General Manager of the major activities performed

9) Other duties as directed by the General Manager.
