| | The contract includes full integration into the work plan for Vanuatu National Statistics Office to assist with all survey activities, with particular focus on Alternative Indicators of Well-being for Melanesia. |
| | |
| | Duties and Responsibilities: |
| | 1)The Social Research Specialist will conduct social research in rural and urban settings and ensure through, accurate, and timely reporting of research findings to supervisors |
| | 2)This includes but is not limited to translation work, focus group and interview facilitation, survey design, field testing of questionnaires, training of enumerators, and data analysis. |
| | |
| | Interested applicants must possess the following requirements: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - At least 5 years of experience in position(s) with similar responsibilities; University Qualifications in relevant field (statistics, social sciences, development studies, etc.) |
| | - Excellent communication and inter-personal skills. Ability to make clear, structured presentation to a broad range of audiences |
| | - Excellent writing skills and ability to prepare clear, concise reports; Fluent in Bislama and English, with additional French capabilities an advantage |
| | - Understanding of fieldwork conditions with regard to enumeration and social research |
| | - Previous experience with data analysis, understanding of statistical software. |
