| | Key responsibilities: |
| | An Evaluation Report working with key recommendations on the VHWP SMS Pilot project and Tool, addressing: |
| | 1)To evaluate the Save the Children Village Health Worker Program (VHWP) pilot SMS project and tool in |
| | SANMA province to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of data collection, project sustainability and scalability |
| | 2)The effectiveness of SMS technology as a tool in collecting accurate health and activity data from remote areas in Vanuatu from Village Health Workers (VHWs). |
| | 3)The effectiveness of the survey design and its ability to capture relevant usefull data that contributes to the goals of the program |
| | 4)The effectiveness of the management of the pilot project and recommendations on the management support systems required to sustain it |
| | 5)An appraisal of the capacity of VHWs to use the system and recommendations on how to provide appropriate support to VHWs |
| | 6) Recommendations for other, potential technologies an systems which may be more appropriate to collecting, analysing and recording in light of VHW and organisational capacities |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Extensive experience working with SMS and other mobile technology (and service providers in Vanuatu - preferable) |
| | - Expert in using SMS technology to collect data in challenging environments |
| | - Ability to convey complex community development issues simply and clearly both verbally and in writing |
| | - Proficiency Bislama |
