Job Desctiption:

This position requires a self-motivated person who is able to read and interpret drawing and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles and switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting switch boxes, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
Estimate electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity current voltage and resistance.
Maintain, repair, install and test switch gears, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors.
Maintain, repair, install electrical motors, generator, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems and devices.

 

Selection Criteria:

- 10 years experience as a heavy equipment electrician
- Work odd hours, under pressure, efficient and trustworthy
- Experience in a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) would be a distinct advantage.
- Valid Medical Certificate
- Valid Driving License
- Bislama and English Speaking, Knowledge of French is an advantage.
