Vanuatu Copra & Cocoa Exporters Ltd (VCCE) is the Vanuatu's largest exporter of copra and cocoa in Vanuatu, purchasing from farmers over the provinces of TORBA, SANMA, PENAMA and MALAMPA.

VCCE has been operating for over 22 years, whereby our head office is based in Santo, branches in Malekula and Port Vila with over 10 sub-branches in outer Islands, bringing service closer to rural farmers. VCCE also imports and sells cement through its operations throughout Vanuatu.

 

Job Desctiption:

• Inventory Management: This is keeping track of stock levels, avoiding shortages or overstock, and keeping precise records in inventory systems in Vila Branch
• Order Coordination: This is placing order of new stock, coordinating with the procurement teams, and ensuring timely replenishment and follow proper procedures to invoice and delivery goods.

• Stock Auditing: This conducting regular physical counts, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining reports of transfers, pricing, and stock movements.
• Quality Control: This is inspecting incoming and outgoing goods to ensure product standards are met.

 

Selection Criteria:

• Certificate or degree in business administration, supply chain management or logistics.
• 2 to 3 years of experience as a stock controller or similar role
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities to track inventory levels and predict demand.
• Attention to detail for accurate record- keeping and auditing.
• Good communication skills to liaise with clients and internal team.
• Ability to work in warehouse or logistics environments, sometimes involving physical handling of goods.
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Must have a driver's license.

• Safely transporting company staff as well as various products and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner.

• You must use your best endeavours to promote and enhance the interest of the    company.
•   Assisting with the loading and offloading of staff luggage, products, and materials.

• Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours.
• Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing.

• Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning and vehicle maintenance.
• Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s coming and goings.

• Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management.

• Adhere to traffic regulations, safety protocols and emergency procedures, including first aid if necessary.


 

Selection Criteria:

- Must have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Professionalism, punctuality, and strong time management skills
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and navigation skills
- Physical ability to lift and load items
- Experience in driving, preferably one year

ActionAid Vanuatu is a Vanuatu-based, development, humanitarian, and climate focused organisation. We
work with Women I Tok Tok Tugeta (WITTT) - a network of diverse Ni-Vanuatu women - to support their
leadership and collective action to claim their rights.
The “Pacific CIRCLE - Empowering Resilience: Nature-Based Solutions for Climate Adaptation in Pacific
Communities” (supported by the Kiwa Initiative) is a regional program supporting climate resilience through
nature-based solutions across four Pacific Island countries (Fiji, Kiribati, Tonga and Vanuatu) with a strong
focus on gender equality, inclusion, and community-led adaptation.

 

Job Desctiption:

The position is responsible for the delivery of the Pacific CIRCLE project in Vanuatu.
• The role will oversee project implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, ensuring high-quality project delivery, compliance, and stakeholder engagement of the project in Vanuatu.
• The role will implement project deliverables, meet donor reporting requirements, and contribute to learning and advocacy efforts aligned with project commitments.
• The role will work closely with ActionAid Australia as well as the other partners in the program including the Global Network of Civil Society Organisations for Disaster Reduction (GNDR).
• The role also ensures program compliance with the Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD) grant requirements.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the Pacific CIRCLE project in Vanuatu in accordance with the KIWA Initiative’s
requirements and the Manual of Operations and Procedures.
• Lead and guide the coordination of Nature-Based Solution activities, providing technical support, and ensuring compliance with donor and organisational standards.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with WITTT, communities, and key stakeholders to coordinate and support project management.
• Participate in project inception activities to establish clear plans for the project delivery in Vanuatu.
• Work closely with the ActionAid Vanuatu team and WITTT to ensure activities are implemented in line with the project implementation plan and Manual of Operations and Procedures.
• Work closely with ActionAid Australia Program Manager – Pacific CIRCLE, ActionAid Vanuatu Country Manager, and Finance teams to ensure the AFD procurement processes and project is run according to the Manual of Operations and Procedures.
• Prepare project narrative reports and support the completion of financial reports within the
specified project timeline and in line with Manual of Operations and Procedures.
• Track and mitigate risks to the project and raise any risks with the ActionAid Vanuatu Country Manager and ActionAid Australia Program Manager – Pacific CIRCLE.
• Ensure alignment with AFD Code of Conduct requirements, ActionAid Vanuatu Code of Conduct, and ActionAid Australia Programs Manual.
• Represent ActionAid Vanuatu in meetings and forums related to Nature-Based Solutions and other related climate action.

 

Selection Criteria:

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Essential
• Demonstrated knowledge of nature-based solutions to climate change and gender-responsive programming in Vanuatu.
• Demonstrated experience implementing Nature-Based Solutions in Communities and working with diverse rural local women
• Highly exceptional experience dealing with diverse stakeholders – local council, Government, communities and donors
• Significant professional experience in international development or environmental programming.
• Strong project management skills, including grant management, budgeting, reporting, and risk management.
• A proven commitment to women’s rights, gender equality, and inclusion. This includes a
commitment to ActionAid’s feminist values and human rights-based approach.
• Proven experience in building strong partnerships based on trust and mutual learning.
• An ability to work collaboratively and independently in a flexible team-based environment.
• Professional fluency in Bislama and English.
Desirable
• Experience with AFD-funded programs and familiarity with AFD standards.
• Experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) and knowledge of product development.
• Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and expertise applying in Gender Equity, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) practices at the project level.
Qualifications
• A formal qualification related to the role, or equivalent experience.
Other Requirements
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (with notice).
• Completion of relevant employment screening checks.
• Current working rights in Vanuatu.
