Job Description
|
|
The Vanuatu National Provident Fund invites applications for
the position of a Financial Analyst in the Investment Division. This is a
senior position and reports directly to the Manager of the Investment
Division. He or She must be competent and will be responsible to conduct
market researches and carrying out due diligences into new and existing
investment opportunities to assist the Vanuatu National Provident Fund
Investment Board in their decision making.

Selection Criteria
|
|
The main duties of the position include:
• Manage market data and analytics to support fixed income investment processes in the marketplace; • Develop relative value monitoring to assess market opportunities; • Develop attribution tools for both forward looking risk and backward looking performance analysis; • Analysing financial information relating to the companies or projects where VNPF has an interest, e.g. a new set of accounts, profit and loss and cash flow statement; • Ensures that alternative investments are safe through proper analysis, market research and due diligence; • Provision of sound, accurate and timely financial advice; • Perform any other duty as assigned. Interested Applicants should possess; • a degree in Banking and Finance, Economics or related field, • 3 years of practical experience, such as lower-level analyst positions and economic, modelling in related industries, • numerical skills and a high degree of accuracy, • Advance level of computer literacy. • An understanding of the domestic financial markets is necessary. General Conditions: Applicants should be fluent in both written and spoken English or French.
