Key responsibilities:

An Evaluation Report working with key recommendations on the VHWP SMS Pilot project and Tool, addressing:

1)To evaluate the Save the Children Village Health Worker Program (VHWP) pilot SMS project and tool in

SANMA province to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of data collection, project sustainability and scalability

2)The effectiveness of SMS technology as a tool in collecting accurate health and activity data from remote areas in Vanuatu from Village Health Workers (VHWs).

3)The effectiveness of the survey design and its ability to capture relevant usefull data that contributes to the goals of the program

4)The effectiveness of the management of the pilot project and recommendations on the management support systems required to sustain it

5)An appraisal of the capacity of VHWs to use the system and recommendations on how to provide appropriate support to VHWs

6) Recommendations for other, potential technologies an systems which may be more appropriate to collecting, analysing and recording in light of VHW and organisational capacities

- Extensive experience working with SMS and other mobile technology (and service providers in Vanuatu - preferable)

- Expert in using SMS technology to collect data in challenging environments

- Ability to convey complex community development issues simply and clearly both verbally and in writing
