Vanuatu Law and Justice Program (VLJP) is a partnership between the Government of Australia (GoA), through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), and the Government of Vanuatu (GoV) designed to support capacity building for key legal sector agencies, development of detailed implementation plans for the Sector Strategy, and development of a sector policy


VLJP is currently seeking a Monitoring Officer to join the project to coordinate and oversee the monitoring of progress and performance of the Vanuatu Police Force (VPF) and to contribute to a broader sector Monitoring and Evaluation Framework (MEF). The applicant will be responsible for support the VPF to develop a monitoring approach that is appropriate, achievable and

consistent with the implemetation of itls Business Plans.

The successful applicant will possess:


- Degree or equivalent relevant experience in a relevant field; Experience with public policy, public administration or other relevant field;

- Experience monitoring of public sector activities and preferably of donor-funded programs; Experience with communicating with Vanuatu and international Agencies;

- Ability to analyse data and information and prepare analytical reports in Bislama and English;

- Ability to communicate well with senior GoV officials and donors;

- English and Bislama (Essential); French (Desirable)
