| | Job Description: |
| | Luganville Municipal Council wishes to recruit a qualified and experienced person for the following position. |
| | Responsible for carrying out measures for safe guarding public health and the enviroment, includind administrating and enforcement of legislations to minimise health safety harzards. |
| | The Enviromental Health Officer will report directly to the Town Clerk and to the Mayor and will develop working relationships with other Government departments. |
| | The Ideal candidate must; |
| | - Personal and good humoured, able to work effectively at conflict resolution. |
| | - Highly motivated and able to work effectively without supervision. |
| | - A willingness to learn and share personal Knowledge. |
| | - Ability to make decisions and to follow up and get things done. |
| | - Ability to work and communicate with a wide range of people. |
| | - Ability to work with limited resources and make the best of them. |
| | - Punctual and trustworthy. |

| | - Degree or Masters in Enviromental Health related fields. |
| | - Minimum of 5 years experience in national o local government level or at the recognised private organisation. |
| | - Possess excellent understanding of Municipal By-laws and other legislations relating to maintenance of health, sanitation and enviroment and be able to carry out enforcement activities. |
| | - Computer literate in email, Microsoft Office and other programs. |
| | - Possess Good Verbal and written Communication skills, fluent in Bislama and English/French. |
