| | CARE International in Vanuatu is seeking to employ a MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER. As a member of the CARE Vanuatu team. |
| | Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Will work under the direction of the Program Director and in close coordination with relevant project staff and ensure that good monitoring and evaluation practices are well understood by all the field officer and properly applied |
| | 2) This will require extensive travel and accompaniment of field staff in project sites. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - University degree or diploma related to this position (monitoring and evaluation, development studies, humanitarian program management, natural sciences); Minimum of 3 years working experience |
| | that includes monitoring and evaluation duties, preferably for an international non-governmental organization (INGOs) |
| | - Highly developed analytical and communication skills; Relevant experience of the use of participatory tools at community levels (PRA,VCA) |
| | - Proficient IT skills in word, excel, powerpoint, outlook; Background in program management, planning and budgeting |
| | - Very good English and Bislama language skills (written and oral); Training and facilitation skills; French language skills will be an asset |
| | - Translation skills (English/Bislama/French); Ability to prioritize, problem-solve and meet agreed deadlines; Open-minded, willing to learn, respectful towards all CARE staff; Respect of the principals, |
| | core values and internal procedures of the organization; A Vanuatu national. |
