The United States Peace Corps seeks a Medical Doctor or Nurse Practitioner to serve as a personal services contractor (PSC) Peace Corps Medical Officer (PCMO) based in Vanuatu. Job Desctiption:

The purpose of this role is to support the finance function by preparing and processing general ledger journals, accruals, and prepayments, and regularly reconciling accounts payable, receivable, and bank accounts. You will assist with monthly management reports, budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow projections, as well as maintain accurate product costing records and support payroll processing. The role includes reconciling inventory across multiple sites, maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, preparing VAT returns, and assisting with tax compliance. You will also provide financial data for decision-making, support regulatory and audit requirements, and help improve internal processes and controls. Collaboration with HR, operations, and supply chain teams is essential to ensure finance is aligned with production activities and to support analysis for capex and operational projects.

 

Selection Criteria:

3–5+ years of accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, or production environment (preferred but not essential)
Prior exposure to cost accounting, inventory control, and margin analysis
Experience supporting or leading ERP implementations (e.g., NetSuite, Pronto, SAP B1)
Demonstrated involvement in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as production, procurement, and HR
Capex analysis and operational project support experience preferred

• Minimum 5 years experience in rigging large outboard engines of any brand , preferably Mercury.
• A very good knowledge of marine systems and wiring
• The ability to rig engines and rewire boats relatively unassisted
• The ability to tow large vessels, launch them in the water and water test them when required
• Knowledge of Mercury G3 diagnostic software would be a great advantage
• Must have a solid work ethic and the ability to follow instructions from management.
