Your job is to assist the Stock Analyst to ensure that the products are easily accessible, visually appealing, constantly available, properly distributed and are safely packaged. Also to receive, handle and help manage the inventory in a timely and organized manner.

- Minimum qualification from Certificate III in Electrical Engineering from INTV or equivalent         (APTC would be preferable) - 5 – 10 years’ experience in a similar position - In depth knowledge of the AUS/NZ Electrical and Wiring Standards - Must have a drivers licence - Must have a good command of English. French and Bislama would be an advantage

Job Description

The Melanesian Port Vila is seeking applications from interested and enthusiastic individuals to perform the following services of the Porter/ Security: • Providing good customer service • Meet and greet guests on check-in and out of the hotel • Assisting guests with their luggage • Preparing guest welcome drinks and welcoming them at the hotel • Keep the lobby area of the hotel clean, tidy and welcoming to the guest • Answering various queries from guests • Performing basic maintenance duties • Advising guests on hotel facilities • Take and deliver guests messages • Responsible for guest safety and security • Works in conjunction with other departments to maintain safety and security of hotel         guests and staff • Carry out security surveillance around the hotel and maintain all security systems and         procedures at all times • Update security log book daily • Perform other duties as assigned.  This position is open to Ni-Vanuatu only.

Selection Criteria

• Must be year 10 to 13 leaver • Must have at least 3 years of previous experience in porter/ bellman in a 3 to 4 star hotel • Must be professional, courteous and presentable • Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills • Be willing to work a variety of shifts, including Weekends and Public Holidays • Be willing to work long hours during busy period • Be punctual and trustworthy • Be willing to learn new tasks • Have a clean police report • Have the ability to work with less supervision • Must be a Ni-Vanuatu citizen residing in Port Vila.
