Job Description
Erakor Island Resort requires an experianced Stock Controller.

The Stock Controller will:

1) Check and record all inventory onto the island;
2) Transfer inventory to the resort's operating departments and trading outlets;
3) Count Food and Beverage held in the trading outlets and compare it to sales records;
4) Maintain par levels of stocks and recommend required purchases;
5) Identify soon to expire stock and ensure that the oldest stock is used first.
Selection Criteria
The successful candidate will be honest and have:

1) at least two year's work experience in stock control or stores;
2) experiance using Microsoft Excel;
3) good spoken and written English.

The Organisation
The Vanuatu Skills Partnership (TVET) is a collaboration between the Governments of Vanuatu and Australia to support sustainable economic growth through targeted business development and training services within a national quality skills system. The Head Office is located in Port Vila and Skills Centres have been established in SANMA, MALAMPA, TORBA and TAFEA provinces.
The Position
1.1 Visit to site at Malampa Handicraft Centre (MHC). Meet with Manager & staff to discuss objectives, look at existing dyes and problem with colour fast.
1.2 Provide recommendations on what dye to use – a plan that is costed and sustainable - Investigate use of local dye, what stocks are available and provide recommendations for potential use at facility on what scale is feasible.
1.3 Assess use of mordants and fixatives and provide recommendations with costs and where to source
1.4 Design and develop dyeing facility including location and building requirements.
1.5 Discuss and advise on means of sustainable heat generation (burning coconut husk for example).
1.6 Create draft plan dyeing facility including materials, shelter, heat generation, resources, capacity, selection of dyes.
1.7 Create an equipment and site plan for dyeing facility with estimated budget.
1.8 Outline waste water management proposal.
1.9 Estimated costs and ROI for dyed materials – provide comments on feasibility of end product sales.
1.10 Discuss and confirm findings and recommendations with Malampa Skills Centre Manager and MHC Business Manager.
1.11 Prepare report
1.12 Deliver report to Malampa Skills Centre Manager and Rural Handicraft Adviser.
It is assumed that the overall project would be conducted over three visits: 1. Initial visit to develop design and plan for bulk dye facility at MHC. 2. Second visit to implement dyeing facility and test processes and provide staff training. 3. Follow up to ensure procedures are being followed and provide guidance.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Proven experience delivering outcomes in sustainable dye facility in rural environment.
► Dye facility installation/set up experience.
► Experience in dye production with commercially viable outcomes.
► Demonstrated ability to work with others and transfer skills and knowledge to empower local leadership.
► Willingness to travel and work in outer-islands of Vanuatu.
Desirable Selection Criteria
► Experience in commercial handicraft production and distribution.
► Fluent in Bislama.
