Youth Challenge Vanuatu is looking for a person to join our hardworking team in the full-time position of Finance and Administration Manager.

This is a full-time position with the possibility of extending the contract.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Responsible for the in-country financial and administration management of the Youth Challenge Vanuatu

2) Will ensure effective financial and accounting systems and ensure compliance with donor requirements

3) Ensure the smooth running of the officer. This will be achieved by providing financial and administration support to Youth Challenge Vanuatu staff in Vila and Santo

4) Oversee the development of the annual YCV budget development and support program staff to develop program budgets

5) Support and assist program staff to monitor budgets and revise budget as necessary

6) Support program staff to develop budgets for submissions to external agencies

7) Prepare monthly financial acquittal and ensure YCV financial procedure.

Criteria:

- Ability to communicate accounting concepts and principle to people with limited accounting knowledge; Extensive experience in project accounting; Extensive experience in the preparation of the

financial reports/donor acquittals

- Knowledge of international donor requirements in respect to financial reporting, computer literacy (MS Excel and computerized accounting packages eg. MYOB

- Financial management and/or experience in managing budgets and high level of numeracy; Relevant qualifications or skills in management, business /IT/ finance) or equivalent substantial

experience as well as advanced computer skills

- Ability to speak english and bislama

- Maintain appropriate procedures and controls for audit and risk management incorporating the MYOB and YCV Office Manual requirements.
