Job Desctiption:

B. Main duties & Responsibilities

1. Check and count contents of all cashiers daily banking in the presence of a Security Officer. Report any variance immediately to your Supervisor and ensure followed through and recovered.
2. To prepare check list for Foreign Exchange Vouchers on daily basis. Current Foreign Exchange rates to be used while preparing daily bank deposits.
3. Record and reconcile on the Daily Envelope Reconciliation Spreadsheet with Sage posting and Cashier packets.
4. Prepare Daily Deposit on the Bank Deposit Book.
5. Conduct all petty cash payments always ensuring accurate invoicing/receipts provided to verify payment.
6. Record and prepare minimum weekly petty cash reimbursements always ensuring accurate invoicing/receipts attached to support the reimbursement.
7. Always hold adequate change to ensure continual flow of monies to outlets.
8. Always ensure general cashier and front office floats are holding adequate cash on hand to allow for increased demand over weekends/long weekends.
9. Conduct surprise cash counts on all cashiers floats at least twice a month and report any discrepancies immediately to your Supervisor.
10. Update Exchange Rates for Front Office Daily.
11. All Banking Reconciliations to be forwarded to Financial Controller and General Manager for approval on a daily basis.
12. Assist with bi-monthly and monthly stock takes.
13. Reconcile and have reversals approved by the GM and FC for All Inclusive, Management Meals, Complimentary and Famils & Entertainments on a daily basis.
14. Overall assistance should the need arise in accounting functions.


Selection Criteria:

The suitable candidate must possess the following attributes:
• Relevant Qualification  (preferred but not required)
• Preferably have minimum of 1 year in this role or similar role
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-Confident, positive attitude and is able to work independently or as team work and can work with minimum supervision.
• Must be committed to professionalism, possesses good work values and has integrity
• Passion for delivering great service and willingness to learn new things and work as part of a wider hotel team.
