Job Description:
Peace Corps Vanuatu wishes to recruit a highly qualified candidate to serve as Training Assistant to the Training Manager (TM).  The Training Assistant (TA) supports activities primarily related to the administrative and logistical components of training programs within the directions, policies and procedures of Peace Corps Vanuatu. This position requires significant travel including a three-month re-location to the Pre-Service Training site.   
      Criteria:
      Requirements: Applicants for this position must demonstrate the following capabilities:
      • University Bachelor’s degree in Education or related discipline
      • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
      • Three or more years’ relevant work experience
      • Work experience is related to training support
      • Experience working with international organization
      • Experience communicating with Community Leaders
      • Experience coaching other staff is preferred
      • Able to pass a U.S. Embassy background security investigation
      • Possession of valid driver’s license; and ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
      Desired Qualifications: 
      • Professional Work Experience: A minimum two years’ experience working in administration, logistics, budgeting and procurement
      • Project Monitoring and Evaluation experience
      • Strong computer skills (Word, mail merge, Excel, creating PowerPoint presentations) 
      • Exceptional organizational skills
      • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
      • Flexible, motivated and self-directed
      • Willingness to travel extensively and live full-time for 3 months at the training site
      • Prior experience working in an international organization and/or experience living abroad preferred
      • Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups
      • Must be legal Vanuatu resident with valid work permit
      • Native fluency in written and spoken Bislama
      • High proficiency in written and spoken English.

      Salary:

      Annual basic starting salary range for the TA position ranges from VT2,164,032 to VT2,533,378 per annum.  Candidates can obtain the full Statement of Work for this vacant position at the Peace Corps office or by emailing vu-jobs@peacecorps.gov
