Job Description:
  • Coordinate the entire operation of the restaurant and bar during scheduled shifts
  • Recruit, train, motivate, roster and supervise staff
  • Check daily takings, night audits, reconciliation of accounts
  • Manage stock levels, order and shop for restaurant supplies
  • Put in place any necessary procedures to increase the efficiency and productivity of the business
  • Liaise with guests, employees, and the community
  • Assist with the marketing activities of the restaurant such as promotional events and functions
  • Check that meals produced by the chefs follow the description in the restaurant menus
  • Check that high standards are maintained in quality of food, service, hygiene, health and safety
  • Supported by a team of up to 20 staff employed across all areas of chefs, waiters, dishwashers, cashiers.
  • Previous experience working in a supervisory role in hospitality
  • Must speak fluent English; French and Bislama an advantage
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Well presented; outgoing and friendly personality
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, create and analyze reports to increase sales and profits
  • Reliable, honest, trustworthy and well-presented
