Job Description:
The role of the accountant is to be responsible for
providing assurance as to the accuracy of financial records of the NasiTuan
Projects on the Island of Tanna. A secondary purpose is to assure that Human
Resource (‘HR’) policies are being applied in a consistent and appropriate
manner with adequate documentation and approvals for key steps in the
recruitment, on boarding and payment.

Criteria:
Nasi Tuan Christian Service (local NGOs) wishes to
recruit a qualified and experienced accountant to undertake these key main
tasks as follows:
- Oversee and manage financial aspects of the organization.
- Keep up-to-date of financial records including: Expenditure reporting,
procurement, book keeping and bank reconciliation of the Nasi Tuan, Taud
Processing center and Talao Coop accounts in daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Prepare Monthly and yearly accounts showing Income vs Expenditure and Balance
sheet upon request of Managing Director and Project Managers.
- Prepare necessary financial documents including entry account software for a
designated external accountant to undertake the audit of the Nasi Tuan accounts
in Monthly basis
- Maintain and Keep up to date with Nasi Tuan financial and Assets policies and
regulations
- Liaise with field staffs to organize and procure materials, tools, stationary
etc.. base on the work plan
- Process payments cycle for suppliers and staff (salaries, allowances and
reimbursements), recording of allowances and reimbursements, bank and funds
management.
