| | The Vanuatu Meteorological and Geo-Hazard Department (VGMD) and National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) have secured funding for a large-scale national adaptation and disaster risk reduction project designed to address Vanuatu's immediate climate change adaptation needs and mitigate natural disaster risks. |

| | The Finance Officer will be contracted for24 months (possible extension) and be based in the Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction Project Management Unit. |

| | Duties and responsibilities: |
| | The Finance Officer will work with the PMU in the financial management of the increasing resilience to climate change and natural hazards projects. |
| | The successful applicant will have: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - At least 5 years experience in position with similar responsibilities; University graduate in accounting or financial administration/management and/or any other relevant field |
| | - Excellent writing skills and ability to prepare clear, concise reports |
| | - Fluent in Bislama and English, with French an advantage |
| | - Excellent understanding of government finance procedures, and ability to work with a range of agencies at the national level |
| | - Previous experience with donor financed programs. |
