We are currently seeking suitable candidates for the position for our Port Vila Office. The overall goal of the Save the Children Vanuatu Program quality team is to achieve positive and sustainable change through the promotion and delivery of excellence in all Save the Children programs. The role of the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will contribute to:

1) Communicating Save the Children's key messaging, program successes and organizational vision and mission to key internal and external stakeholders through visual, audio and print modalities

2) Capturing organizational events through film, photography and written story and using these materials to promote the programs

3) Acting as organizational spokesperson and advocate for children throughout Vanuatu

4) Coordinating with marketing and partnerships in MO to create opportunities for the production of high quality documentaries and short films

5) Responding to current affairs issues relevant to communities in Vanuatu by working with the Country Director and relevant Program Managers to develop an organizational position and response to the issue

6) Working with the mentoring Program Managers and their teams to develop key messaging for programs and ensure this messaging is being used in our communications materials consistently and that staff are using the messaging appropriately.

Interested applicant must possess the following:

Criteria:

- Diploma or degree in communications; Experience in IEC development; Experience in IT and photography

- Experience in desktop publishing, software including publisher; Well-developed communication skills

- Skills in electronic graphic design; Computer literate; High levels of attention to detail and quality

- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines; Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to speak and write English fluently

- Excellent report writing skills; Strong time management and organisational skills; Ability to supervise and motivate team members.

Salary:

Remuneration will be negotiated based on skills and experience.
