| | The Vanuatu Meteorological and Geo-Hazard Department (VGMD) and National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) have secured funding for a large-scale national adaptation and disaster risk reduction project designed to address Vanuatu's immediate climate change adaptation needs and mitigate natural disaster risks. |
| | The Procurement Consultant will be contracted initially for 6 months (opportunity for extension) and be based in the Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction Project Management Unit. |

| | Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Will work with the PMU Procurement Officer to develop Procurement Process for the newly established NAB (National Advisory Board for Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction). |
| | The successful applicant will have: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior procurement position in projects - preferred in a developing countries |
| | - Familiar with other donor funding; Proven ability to mentor and train staff in all aspects of procurements |
| | - Demonstrated good knowledge of development issues in Vanuatu and or Pacific |
| | - Experience in the Pacific region |
| | - Familiarity with world bank procurement procedures. |
