This position requires a self-motivated person with over 10 years' experience as a heavy equipment electrician.
Selection Criteria:
- Able to work odd hours, under pressure, efficient and trustworthy
- Read and interpret drawing and electrical code specs to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
-Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting switch boxes, lighting fixtures and other electrical equipment.
- Estimate electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current voltage and resistance.
- Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generator, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
- Maintain, repair, install and test switchgears, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial electrical and eectronic control systems and devices.
- Conduct preventing maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
Experience in a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) would be a distinct advantage.
